On November 4, in connection with the Victory Day, a group of teachers and students of the Faculty of Philology visited the memorial to the martyrs, laid flowers in front of the monument, observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country.

Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Sevinj Hamzayeva spoke about the heroism shown by our Glorious Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day history of Victory, noting that our heroes who won unprecedented victories over the enemy are an example to the younger generation. She also noted that patriotism is the blood memory of the people, the highest moral and ethical quality that characterizes the personality. “This quality has always been formed as the main criterion and character in the life of our people. The processes that took place on both the front and rear during the 44 days of the Great Patriotic War, which ended with the great victory of Azerbaijan, once again confirmed this. One of the main factors that led our people to emerge victorious from this ordeal of history was the unshakable love for the motherland. It was the embodiment of this attachment to the homeland that the brave Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Glorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev managed to ensure the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by clearing our occupied lands of the enemy. For years, the moment we dreamed of has come true, thirty years of longing have come to an end, the people of Azerbaijan have been reunited with their native lands. Love to everyone who gave us these great days, first of all to the glorious Azerbaijani Army, which turned miracles into reality under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
