SSU HOSTS A WEBINAR ON "THE VICTORY OF THE AZERBAIJANI PEOPLE IN THE SECOND KARABAKH WAR IS A HISTORIC EVENT"
On November 5, Sumgayit State University hosted a webinar organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management on "The victory of the Azerbaijani people in the Second Karabakh War is a historic event."
First, the memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The webinar was opened by the head of the Department of Economics, Associate Professor Lala Mahmudova, who congratulated the guests on the holiday. She noted that in the history of Azerbaijan, November 10, engraved in golden letters in our national memory, went down in history as a heroic chronicle and glorious victory of our country. “This glorious victory, which put an end to thirty years of longing, means the liberation of our ancient lands occupied by the enemy and the maintenance of our territorial integrity. Under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the glorious Azerbaijani Army has avenged every day for 28 years! Thanks to national solidarity, trust, confidence and support of the people, the head of state was able to cope with complex issues with dignity and success, withstanding all diplomatic pressures. Azerbaijan has proved to the whole world the possibility of a military solution to the conflict, both in combat and diplomacy. The determination and will of the Azerbaijani people, economic strength, modern army building and the unity of the People"s Army-Government were important factors in ensuring the victory of our country. Inspired by the rich statehood and military history of our great ancestors, the Azerbaijani people wrote another glorious chronicle of heroism, proving to the whole world that they were a victorious people and won a historic victory over the enemy. In this war, Turkey was with us, providing moral and diplomatic support. The whole world saw that our brotherhood was unshakable. With this approach, Turkey has sent a message to the world: "Turkey is with Azerbaijan." The whole world has once again seen that the Turkish-Azerbaijani unity and brotherhood are unshakable and eternal. We have liberated our lands. We are grateful to Turkey for its great support!”
Nurettin Hatunoglu, Associate Professor of History Division, Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University, Faculty of Science and Literature, spoke about the role of Azerbaijani Turks in the Turkic world, the role of Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood for other Turkic-speaking countries, Professor Oktay Kizilkaya, a lecturer at the History Department of the Faculty of Science and Literature of Kars Qafqaz University, spoke about the friendship between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the historical significance of the liberation of Shusha.
Elnur Hasan Mikail, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Faculty of Economics and Management, Kars Qafqaz University, looked at the last 100 years of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, and spoke about the rescue of Baku by the Turkish Caucasus Islamic Army under the command of Nuru Pasha, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk"s correspondence with Nariman Narimanov, and the road to Victory Day.
Alper Tazegul, Associate Professor of International Trade and Logistics, Faculty of Economics and Management, Kars Qafqaz University, analyzed trade relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey in recent years, shared his views on the prospects for the development of the military-industrial complex between the two countries, the impact of expanding economic ties on strengthening political ties. Halit Hamzaoglu, Assistant Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Faculty of Economics and Management, Kars Qafqaz University, shared his views on the successful foreign policy of President Ilham Aliyev and his diplomatic victory during the 44-day war. Rovshan Mammadov, Associate Professor of Turkish Language and Literature, Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University, spoke about how Azerbaijanis living abroad supported our people during the Second Karabakh War, the solidarity of the Turkish brothers in the 44-day Patriotic War, the pride and joy of celebrating the days of liberation of our regions, and concluded with the poems of Rafig Zaki.
Head of the Department of Management, Faculty of Management, Nakhchivan University, PhD, docent Irada Bagirova spoke about the political and economic significance of the opening of the Zangazur corridor for the whole region, especially the impact of the opening of the Zangazur corridor on the development of the tourism sector in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Jabir Karimov, a teacher of the same department, spoke about the impact of the opening of the Zangazur corridor on the development of the tourism sector in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Lala Valiyeva, associate professor of the Department of Economics at Sumgayit State University spoke about the factors that determine the Victory Day. Mahammad Ahmadov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics of SSU, said that the Victory Day was a continuation of the policy course of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the result of the far-sighted domestic and foreign policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev. Lamiya Sadigova, a fourth-year student of Sumgayit State University, Faculty of Economics and Management, group 716, noted that the families of the martyrs did not bow to grief, were proud of their loved ones, summed up their thoughts with the poems of Khalil Rza Uluturk. Fatima Muradzadeh, a second-year student of Sumgayit State University, Faculty of Economics and Management, group 730, recited Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh"s Azerbaijani-Turkish poem, shared the joy of the liberation of her ancestral lands of Jabrayil. The group said that it had met with the residents of the district, that his grandfather had also attended the meeting, and that this unforgettable event had always been fondly remembered by their families. Speakers noted that the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood has deep roots. Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, built on the basis of high-level cooperation, are constantly strengthening.
At the end of the event, the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University Assoc. prof. Aynura Yahyayeva said that President Ilham Aliyev, leading the nation during the war, wrote a history on which the future development of Azerbaijan will be based. She noted: “From now on, we will look at all our plans for the future of our country from the perspective of our brilliant Victory. Because the President has created an unforgettable chronicle of modern Azerbaijan as the author of a dignified, proud, independent people"s formula. Having gained an advantage in the information field since the first hours of the war, the head of state, in his interviews with international media almost every day, along with our just cause, introduced Azerbaijan and our people to the whole world. The world has seen our strength and has rediscovered the President of Azerbaijan.”
