A trip to the "War Trophies Park" was organized by Sumgayit State University Student Youth Organization on November 13 with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan within the program "Target 5% - Stimulating the activities of student youth organizations, increasing competitiveness, supporting the formation of student response"

During the visit, under the guidance of SSU senior lecturer, Lieutenant-Colonel Tapdig Hajiyev, our students got acquainted with the exhibits in the park and received detailed information.

Tapdig Hajiyev said: “The War Trophies Park is a source of pride for our people. This Park is of great importance. The younger generation, schoolchildren, students and tourists visiting our country will once again witness the defeat of Armenia and the victory of Azerbaijan. We have fought for justice and for the territorial integrity of our territory, which is internationally recognized. We have achieved this thanks to the political strategy correctly defined by our President. This Park is a visual proof of the military strategy and tactics and the "Iron Fist" operation developed by our President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev for 18 years. Under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the glorious Azerbaijani Army has demolished the enemy's 30-year-old barriers and restored historical justice”.

Tayfun Hajili, Chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University, spoke about the importance of achieving a historic victory, the responsibilities of the state and society in the post-conflict period, as well as state support for participants in the Great Patriotic War.

It should be noted that some of the military equipment looted from the enemy during the Patriotic War in the War Trophies Park, in total, more than 300 exhibits, including about 150 heavy equipment, tanks, combat vehicles, artillery, anti-aircraft missile systems, small arms, military transports are exhibited. Among the exhibits in the park are war crimes committed by Armenia, including the fact that our territories far from the war zone were hit by rockets, civilians were killed and wounded, and the remains of the Iskander-M missile fired by the enemy into Azerbaijan.
