On 32^nd anniversary of 20 January Tragedy is held which engraved bloody memory of the Azerbaijani people. Our students visited the Alley of Martyrs in Sumgayit on January 18, at the initiative of the Student Trade Union and Student Youth Organizations of Sumgayit State University, related to with the 32nd anniversary of January 20 tragedy.They commemorated the memory of our sons and daughters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of the Motherland, and laid carnations on their graves. Chairman of the Student Trade Union Nemat Ibayev spoke about the tragedies that befell our people during the Bloody January events and the freedom struggle of the Azerbaijani people.He noted that in spite of passing 32 years of January 20 tragedy that event is not only National Sad day along with it is celebrated as a heroic history that demonstrates the struggle and pride of our people, who strive for their freedom and independence. The sons of the Fatherland rose to the peak of martyrdom who uphold the freedom, honor and dignity of their people . New history of Azerbaijan was written with the blood of martyrs on January 19-20.
