On March 4, the Sumgayit branch of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society organized an intellectual competition "Knowledge" dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the Red Crescent Society among youth organizations at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Opening the event, the chairman of the department Matanat Maharramova informed about the foundation of the Red Crescent Society in 1920 by general-lieutenant Aliaga Shikhlinsky which celebrates its 102nd anniversary this year and the society's own missions. Then the competition started. 7 teams representing different areas of the city took part in the 2-part intellectual competition. According to the final results of the competition, the first place was awarded to Sumgayit Voluntary Society, the second place to Sumgayit State University, and the third place to the team of Sumgayit "Easy Service" center. The winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups and prizes by the department.

It should be noted that the team of Sumgayit State University was represented by students of the faculty of history and geography Aslan Musazade, Jeyhun Askerov, Anar Gurbanov.
