SSU employee visited "Human-Computer Interaction" laboratory at the Middle East Technical University of Turkey for business trip
From March 21 to 27, Svetlana Ahmadova  deputy dean of the engineering faculty of Sumgayit State University, senior lecturer of the department of information technology and programming took part in the project "Professional development of educators in the field of" Human-Computer Interfaces "and studying international experience". She obtained  the right to participate in a 7-day trip to Ankara to get acquainted with the laboratory.
The trip took place within the framework of a grant competition of the Ministry of Education on "Development of higher and secondary special education in 2021/2022" in order to support initiatives that serve the development of priority areas of higher and secondary special education.
It should be noted that Nakhchivan University has won a grant in the category "Development and application of new and modern educational content in specialties" with the project "Professional development of teachers in the field of" Human-Computer Interfaces " and the study of international experience."
The aim of the project is to select potential teachers who will teach the subject "Human-Computer Interfaces" and to develop a curriculum and textbook for the subject. For this purpose, teachers who teach this subject at all universities under the Ministry of Education were invited to participate in the project. 39 people from 15 universities in five cities of the country applied to join the project. The project consisted of 3 modules, which were evaluated on a 100-point scale after the participants completed the tasks for 2 modules. 17 teachers with high average scores were sent on a 7-day trip to Ankara to visit the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey to participate in Module 3.
Our colleague Svetlana Ahmadova  got acquainted with the Human-Computer Interfaces laboratory under the leadership of professor Kurshat Cagiltay and  mastered the skills of working directly on laboratory equipment, cognitive modeling, and performing tasks in the CogTool software package, a tool for human-computer interface (HF) researchers.
