A group of teachers and students of the faculty of Philology visited the YARAT travelling exhibition
The group exhibition consisting of works by local artists and photographers continues which opened by "YARAT" Contemporary Art Space in Ganja, Mahsati Ganjavi Center. The name of the exhibition is taken from the song "Motherland is good" written in the words of Aliaga Vahid, performed by Khudayar Yusifzadeh, a martyr in the Great Patriotic War. This song is also part of Rashad Alakbarov"s installation displayed at the exhibition.
On April 15, at the initiative of teachers of the department of Foreign languages of the faculty of Philology of SSU, students of group 926 visited the Sumgayit State Art Gallery.
The YARAT traveling exhibition entitled “Dumanlar ruhumda dastana çevrildi” featuring works by local artists and photographers is dedicated to the Karabakh conflict and victories. The works of artists explore the path to victory. Black-and-white photographs about the hardships of the lives of refugees, digital installation also caused great interest. Entering an active dialogue with each other, all the works of the exhibition combine the complex picture of the Karabakh conflict, the national context.
Thus, the exposition features artists and photographers such as Agababa Bagirov, Elnur Babayev, Ilgar Jafarov, Shahvalad Eyvazov, Erkin Alakbarli, Rashad Alakbarov, Khalid Asgarov, Mirnaib Hasanoglu, Ali Gafarov, Javid Gurbanov, Oleg Litvin, Ali Rza and Nurakhmed Valiyev entering into a dialogue with digital works of art, complete the complex puzzle of the already resolved Karabakh conflict. The exposition includes works and photo materials maintained in the funds of YARAT Contemporary Art Space and the Azerbaijan Photographers Union.
The exhibition made a good impression on the participants.
