A group of students of faculty  chemistry and biology of SSU had  a production  experience  in  Petkim Petrochemical Holding Co. in Izmir city of Turkey. 
On this occasion, on September 17, professor of  Sumgait State University,  Elkhan Huseynov, congratulated the students who returned from the experience of the production  and  thanked them for their success.
During the meeting, the Head of the  University  noted that as well as the world universities also the majority of  European universities  focus on practical knowledge instead of  theoretical knowledge. All these help stimulating of higher education system in the rapidly changing of the international economy. Therefore, high schools send their students to the prestigious, well-known companies for establishing  close contacts with these companies in collaborating research projects. All  these create opportunities for students to gain work experience. Sumgait State University students turn to take advantage of the scientific practice experience in production to foreign countries, universities and industrial enterprises. Having experience and theoretical knowledge  in these institutions of the world our students become familiar with scientific innovations.
Professor Elkhan Huseynov noted that for more than two years  the students go to practical trainings in Izmir city of Turkey.  It should be noted that our university with the help of  Sumgait Technology Park and  "Azerkimya" PU institutions established to strengthen relationsand  business community, as well as contributes to the development of national education.
Assistant Professor of Oil chemistry and chemical technology department ,  Rahila  Mammadova said that the first our students were in practice for a period of 10 days,  in the high-pressure polyethylene and ethylene plant.  In practice took part, students of chemical engineering department of chemistry and biology Ulviyya Asgarova, Tunzala Sharif, Narmin Ibadova, Sanuber Babayeva, Farida Rahimli. In practice also took part the students of  Baku branch of Moscow State University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and Caucasus University
