On October 11, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Education Center of "Azerishiq" OJSC  and the students of the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics, Engineering, as well as Chemistry and biology.

Vice rector for Social affairs and public relations of the university Elmar Khalilov  opened the event with the greetings of the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov  and expressed his satisfaction to see them at the university. He said that as a result of the successful implementation of the state programs signed by the President of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev today there is a strong energy system in the Republic of Azerbaijan that supplies economy of the country  and population with electricity. The energy industry  which is a diverse and complex field  is now in need of qualified personnel. At present, specialists for the energy sector are being trained at various levels of education in the country. In this direction, state programs approved by the head of the country are successfully implemented. In this regard, certain measures  have been done  for this at Sumgayit State University. Thus, the Educational Center of "Azerishig" OJSC was opened in the branch of the department of Electromechanics of SSU. Students  conduct certain laboratory classes in the educational center and are employed as young specialists in "Azerishig" OJSC.

Araz Mammadzade director of the Education and Innovation Center of "Azerishiq" OJSC greeted the lecturers, students and stated that about the innovations, the improvement of the existing personnel potential in accordance with the requirements of the day and the training of new young personnel at a modern level are the main priority  of  the Education Center of "Azerishiq" OJSC. Each relationship established for this purpose, each signed contract determines the future prospects of the relationship. Araz Mammadzade also drew attention to the fact that the cooperation signed between the enterprise  and the university is important for both parties and makes great contributions to the development of the personnel potential of our country.

Araz Mammadzade also spoke about the strategic development plan of "Azerishiq" OJSC and gave detailed information about the reconstruction, restoration works and other  innovations carried out by "Azerishiq" OJSC in the territories freed from occupation.

Then the film “İşıqlı Qarabağ” ( "Bright Karabakh") was shown.

Close cooperation between "Azerishiq" OJSC and SSU was also discussed at the event. For this purpose they gave information in order  to expand  the opportunities for students to gain  theoretical and practical experience in the structures of "Azerishiq" OJSC. It will help them to build a career, to be formed as young professionals useful to the country in the future.

The event ended with answering many questions of the students.
