OUR STUDENTS VISITED TO THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The 358th group students (Biology) of the faculty of Chemistry and biology of SSU visited to the Zoological Museum under the leadership of Aysel Aghayeva Ph.D. in biology.
The students got acquainted with 1703 exhibits from the animals Azerbaijan and the world in the exposition fund of the Zoological Museum, including scarecrows, skeletons, etc. 257 of the exhibits belong to different classes of vertebrates.The museum guide gave information about the exhibits.
We should note that the Zoological Museum was established at the Institute of Zoology in 1971 by the decision of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences for the purpose of studying, preserving and promoting biodiversity. The main direction of the museum is the collection, preservation, scientific research, promotion and demonstration of the materials related to the fauna of Azerbaijan and the world.
