Contributing to the development and publicity of science, education, art, culture  of each country, book is considered to be spiritual wealth and history of the people. The book is a source of knowledge, a mirror of wisdom, literacy and level. It is not only trickling away over the history, but also is becoming a slogan of our education.  We owe it to the books what we know. Preserving this wealth for future generations, organizing the use of information sources, books and other  printed documents which are called the memory of  humanity, disseminating the knowledge,  the libraries play a key role in the progress of science and technology, intellectual and professional improvement. Today our country pays more attention to the book reading. Everywhere book exhibitions and fairs are organized.
To this end, on October 9, in the lobby of our University a mobile exhibition was held by the staff of the Sumgayit Central Library after SamadVurghun in connection with “Year of Reading”.
Naila Asgarova, head of the library service department, said that nearly 230 books and printed materials reflecting rich informationabout  our country`s  science, history, literature and cultureare published in Azerbaijani, Russian and English.  Such exhibitions give opportunity to increase a further interest in the book among university students, to spend their leisure time effectively, develop skills of reading and attract more readers to the libraries.
The exhibition was greeted with great interest by the students.
