A PHOTO EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO NOVEMBER 8 – VICTORY DAY WAS ORGANIZED AT SSU
On October 26, a photo exhibition dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day was organized at Sumgayit State University.
Photographic materials exposing the acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the ancient lands of Azerbaijan occupied for nearly 30 years were displayed at the exhibition.
First, the dear memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Exhibition reflected the terrible criminal acts of the occupying Armenia in Karabakh during 30 years, such as the deliberate destruction, appropriation, alteration and theft of our cultural heritage, as well as the brutal destruction of our material, cultural and religious monuments.
Associate professor Natig Talibov vice-rector of SSU for education organization and training technologies spoke about the historical significance of the 44-day war and congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the Great Victory. He stated that our nation celebrates the anniversary of the historic Victory with great pride and about the rapid construction and restoration works carring out in the territories freed from occupation immediately after the victory, as well as about the duties of the young generation.
The vice-rector also drew attention to the fact that in connection with the Victory day, in order to perpetuate the memories of the students and graduates of Sumgayit State University a memorial complex was created in the courtyard of the university. Stands depicting the path to the Great Victory were made with the organization of the faculties.
The photo exhibition dedicated to the Victory Day made a great impressions of the participants.
