SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PRESENTED TO OUR EXCELLENT STUDENTS BY RCİTUAEE
On October 31, according to the results of the winter exam session of the academic year 2021-2022, the scholarship of the Republican Committee of the İndependent Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Employees was presented to high school excellent students and trade union activists, and the winners of the "Young trade union leader" competition awarding ceremony was held.
The event was attended by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP of the Milli Majlis- Sattar Mohbaliyev, vice-chairmen and heads of departments of the RCİTUAEE, heads of trade unions operating in higher education institutions, and students.
First, the dear memory of our sons and daughters who died for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute's silence.
Chairman of İTUC, MP of Milli Majlis Sattar Mohbaliyev spoke at the event about the state youth policy implemented in Azerbaijan. He stated that trade unions highly support the youth policy of our state, RCİTUAEE organizes various intellectual games and sports competitions in this field, implements systematic projects related to the effective organization of youth leisure time, and takes steps strengthening the social security of students from low-income families.
More than 220 students from low-income families are provided with free meals by the Republican Committee.
Then, according to the results of the winter exam session, the ceremony of presenting the Committee's scholarship to 65 more high school excellent students and trade union activists began.
The winners of the "Young trade union leader" competition organized by the committee were also awarded.
The speaking students talked about the implemented projects related to the youth in our country, the state's concern for this field, the achievements of the youth in all fields, including the field of science, education and sports.
We should note that Asiman Agayev, a second-year student of the faculty of Chemistry and biology, Farid Abbaszade a second-year student of the faculty of Mathematics, and Jala Gurbanova, a third-year student of the faculty of Philology from Sumgayit State University were awarded a scholarship by RCİTUAEE.
On November 1, the vice-rector of Sumgayit State University for Social issues and public relations, associate professor Elmar Khalilov received the students who were awarded the scholarship and expressed his pride that Sumgayit State University's name was on such a prestigious list and wished the students success. He advised them to improve their education carefully and work more diligently in order to have achievements of sustainability.
For information, we should say that in order to increase students' interest in science and education, in 1995 the scholarship named after İTUAEE was established. Since then, according to the results of the winter and summer session in higher education institutions, 2719 successful students have benefited from this scholarship. The purpose of this competition is to identify activists who stand out among students for their academic performance, exemplary discipline and to form a healthy competitive environment for the students who have a special reputation among their peers, to encourage them to science, education, creativity, sports and social activities.
