On December 19, an event called "Secrets of the general equivalent in economics" was organized by the faculty of Economics and management of Sumgayit State University.

First, the participants of the event viewed the exhibition dedicated to the currency units of different countries.

The dean of the faculty, associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, spoke at the event presenting by Shukur Aliyev and Nurana Baghirova - employees of the faculty of Economics and management.

Associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva - dean of the faculty of Economics and management congratulated the staff of Sumgayit State University on the occasion of its 60th anniversary and said that on November 18 of this year  we solemnly celebrated the 60th anniversary of our  university. On this occasion, we  congratulate all our employees and students, especially our respected rector, professor Elkhan Huseynov, and wish each of them success in their work.In recent years, as in SSU, a series of various events have been held in our faculty, such as a knowledge competition, an international seminar, master  classes, literary and artistic events related to the "Year of Shusha" called "The crown of Shusha -Karabakh, the beginning of our victory".  Today, our main goal in holding the next event called "Secrets of the general equivalent in the economics" is to reveal the true  essence of money as an important economic category, to correctly determine the role it plays in our lives by looking again  at the history of the creation of money and the functions  of it .

Talking about the importance of the event called "Secrets of the general equivalent in economics"  the dean said that it is very important to educate about electronic money, crypto-currencies and other monetary units that have become widespread in the world recently. Because the general equivalent in economics  is money. It is very difficult to imagine a modern person without a  money - that is  a unit  measures the value of goods and services. This unit of measure helps people to calculate tangible and intangible values as a universal tool.

Then presentations and  scenes devoted to the secrets of the general equivalent in economics were shown, the opinions and aphorisms of well-known personalities about money were voiced.

Students gave extensive information about the  creation of money and its functions.

Finally, the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov made a speech and emphasized the importance of holding such educational events serve to reveal talented young people, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event and wished them success.
