Employees of SSU participated in the 1st International Scientific Congress
On December 23, the 1st International Scientific Congress "Ethnolinguistic diversity of the world and Turkic heritage" was held in a hybrid format organized by Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.
The purpose of this event, which was attended by prominent scientists and researchers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary, as well as Russia, is a presentation of modern scientific research in the field of ethnolinguistics and Turkology of the newly established research center "Turkology and altaistics" at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and to discuss upcoming tasks.
Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, professor Janseit Tuymebaev opened the plenary session of the congress, greeted the scientists joining the congress and introduced the guests to the participants of the event.
Then, the following participants made speech: the president of the International Turkic Academy, academician Sahin Mustafayev, the director of the Research Institute of Turkish Culture, professor Erjilasun Ahmet Bijan, the secretary general of Turksoy, Sultan Raev, the chairman of the International Turkology Center, the corresponding member of the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences, Erden Kajibek, as well as on behalf of the rector of Sumgayit State University, professor Elkhan Huseynov the vice-rector for Science and innovations and a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences professor Ramazan Mammadov.
Professor Ramazan Mammadov conveyed the greetings of rector professor Elkhan Huseynov to the participants of the congress, spoke about the activities of Azerbaijani scientists conducting research in the field of Turkology and their contributions to scientific research in the field of Turkish heritage.
We should note that representatives of the diplomatic bodies of Turkic-speaking countries operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan also participated in the congress.
After the plenary session of the Congress, the sectional meetings in 4 different directions will continue until December 24. In the section of the "Turkish civilization: history, archeology, and ethnopolitics" of the international congress head of the department of History and its teaching methodology of SSU, associate professor Sona Maharramova and 12 employees, head of the department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methodology, associate professor Buyukkhanim Eminli and head of the department of International cooperation and foreign students Sadagat Fatullayeva participated.
