On December 26, an info-session of the Enactus Azerbaijan program took place at Sumgayit State University.

Vice -rector for International relations of SSU assistant professor Gafar Atayev opened the event by welcoming the participants. The director of "Enactus Azerbaijan" program Rashad Zeynalov was introduced to the participants of the event, he conveyed the greetings of the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov and his recommendations to the students to participate more actively in new projects. He spoke about the activities of the SSU Enactus team, the projects implemented in this field, the importance of its program for young people, and the growing interest of students in these projects. He noted that rational youth policy is one of the important directions of the national development strategy of every country thinking about its future. The youth policy which was founded by our national leader Heydar Aliyev is implemented today by our president Ilham Aliyev, our youth feel the constant care and support of our state. Enactus is the world"s largest experiential learning platform that trains the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators enables young people to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, implement business, educational and social projects, and promotes free entrepreneurship.

Then the floor for the speech was given to Shafa Isayeva - the captain of the SSU Enactus team stated in her speech that the "Enactus" program, which unites thousands of students from 34 countries of the world, is being carried out in our country with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Taking into account the student-oriented policy of the "Enactus" program, "Enactus" teams representing higher and secondary educational institutions of our country prepare projects within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals and compete in the National Championship and the World Cup every year. Enactus team of SSU has been awarded 2nd and 3rd places several times in such competitions.

Seymur Talibov- a graduate student of SSU presented the "Hand made store" project and gave detailed information about the project.

Later, Rashad Zeynalov - country program director of "Enactus Azerbaijan" program was given the floor. He also talked about the organizing of teams, the criteria of the projects to be prepared, and the National competition and the World Cup organized every year. Within the framework of the "Enactus" program, events covering various fields are regularly implemented in our country. Thus, on July 18 of the current year, the "Enactus Azerbaijan" National Competition was held under the joint organization of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union , Public Union support for the youth education and "Enactus Azerbaijan" and the main sponsorship of the "BP Azerbaijan" company. In the national competition, teams from 17 higher and secondary educational institutions presented 36 different social entrepreneurship projects involving more than 6,000 people. Emphasizing the importance of involving young people in innovative projects and promoting the idea of entrepreneurship among students, R. Zeynalov wished success to the high-potential SSU "ENACTUS" team.

At the meeting, the head of the Student Scientific Society, associate professor Lala Bunyatova, the head of the department of Process automation of the faculty of Engineering professor Javanshir Mammadov, the head of the department of Finance and accounting of the faculty of Economics and management associate professor Loghman Abdullayev, the associate professor of the department of World economy and marketing Shafiga Mammadova, senior lecturer of the department of literature of Azerbaijan and foreign countries of the faculty of Philology Afat Rafiyeva participated.
