The next event from the series of events the opening ceremony "Auditorium of the Republic of Azerbaijan"held in connection with the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dedicated to the history and culture of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev on May 24 at the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University within the framework of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities.

At the opening ceremony of the auditorium, alongside rector of USPTU Oleg Baulin and the teaching staff of the univeristy, vice-rector of Sumgayit State University for International relations associate professor Gafar Atayev, who was on a bussiness trip to USPTU, vice-rector for General affairs Asad Mammadov, head of the department of Petrochemistry and Chemical Engineering professor Akbar Agayev, the dean of the Chemistry and biology faculty, associate professor Mahal Muradov, participated in the opening ceremony. The event was also attended by leading representatives of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, the Azerbaijani diaspora represantatives who were living in Bashkortostan, and about 20 Azerbaijani students currently studying at USPTU. The opening ceremony, which took place in a hybrid format, was attended by academician Ramil Bakhtizin, who was currently visiting Azerbaijan, Rafik Jamalov, vice-rector for International relations of ASOIU, associate professor Natig Talibov - vice-rector on Teaching organization and training technologies of SSU, professor Ramazan Mammadov - vice-rector for Science and innovations, on Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov, on Economic affairs Naib Hajiyev and other heads of structures also joined.

Moderator rector of USPTU Oleg Baulin welcomed the guests, spoke about the importance of the auditorium for the university and expressed his deep gratitude to the Heydar Aliyev Center, Sumgayit State University for their close help in obtaining materials for creating of the auditorium, and Ayyub Babirov, a graduater of USPTU, for his direct participation.

Then the floor was given to Sabir Hajiyev, a member of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis, a member of the working group on Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary relations. Sabir Hajiyev stated in his speech that this auditorium was the first auditorium in the world that glorifies our culture and art, decorated with Azerbaijani ornaments, and emphasized the role of students studying in such an environment.

Later, the main speaker of the event and the first speaker of the new audience, associate professor Gafar Atayev, conveyed the greetings the rector of SSU professor Elkhan Huseynov and made a presentation on the topic "To the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev", dedicated to the rich life path of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The opening of the Azerbaijani auditorium was as a clear example of the close cooperation implemented within the framework of the Association in recent years, and he presented a gift on behalf of SSU a plaque with the official display of the "Khari bulbul" and national musical instruments to Oleg Baulin.

For your information, the state symbols of Azerbaijan, the legacy of Heydar Aliyev, the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities, Azad Mirzajanzade's scientific school, natural resources our country, oil, climate and geography, mineral resources, science and industry, culture and art, carpet weaving, and historical monuments - Gobustan, the capital Baku, 12 plaques were created under the title of outstanding personalities who have gone down in history.

It should be noted that the delegation will also attend the 31st International Gas.Oil.Technology exhibition to be held in Ufa on May 23-25, 2023 as an expert. The Olympiad was organized by USPTU on the occasion of Independence Day.
