AN INFO SESSION ON THE EDUCATIONAL AND INCUBATION CENTER "CREATIVE INDUSTRIES HUB" WAS ORGANIZED AT SSU
On October 6, Sumgayit State University organized info sessions of "Animators' development program" and "Comedy and performance school" trainings with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Film Agency (AFA) and the Azerbaijan Animation Association.
Vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov welcomed the guests, and the "Creative Industries Hub" was launched at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture within the framework of the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026". The vice-rector believes that other talents of university students will be revealed at the incubation center, and that they will even have a chance to present themselves at a professional level, wished the parties success in their mutual activities.
Teymur Karimzade, the director of the Center, informed about the future goals: services aimed at gaining access to foreign markets are concentrated".
Noting that the courses organized in the center are planned for a period of 12 weeks, the director noted that those who wish to apply from October, students of SSU can participate free of charge.
Art director of the center, Alakbar Aliyev, until the end of 2023, business incubation programs for cultural start-up ("CulTech"), game technology industry ("GameTech") and music industry, national graphic design courses, music industry school, comedy school, acceleration of animators and producers in the center. He spoke about the main goals: "Our main goal is to form the qualities that are important for a comprehensive personality, including a sense of humor, in the current and future students of SSU and other higher education schools."
Animator and acceleration course mentor Firangiz Baghirova noted the possibility of mastering the art of animation - the art of moving stationary objects in the digital world.
The employees of the center answered the questions of the participants of the info session.
At the end of the event, the trailers prepared by the employees of the Center were shown.
It should be noted that the trainings will be held at the educational and incubation center for cultural and creative industries. The most successful participants are expected to be employed and involved in international projects.
