On October 26, a seminar was held at Sumgayit State University for the purpose of carrying out educational work in higher education institutions regarding the promotion of public service.

Opening the event with the participation of the 4th year students and graduate students of the University, SSU Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov spoke about the importance of such educational events and the importance of public service to students. Elshad Aliyev,deputy head, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the people, spoke about the projects implemented in the promotion of the public service and the work to be done in the perspective of the Action Plan for the implementation of the employment strategy for 2020-2025, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed the participants of the seminar. He informed about the advantages of public service, changes, current situation and prospective plans. He spoke about the important duties of every person who has the status of a public worker. He pointed out that 107 graduates of Sumgayit State University work in the structure of the ministry, and this indicator has influenced the university's ranking in the 8th place among republican higher education institutions.

At the end of the event, many questions of the students were answered.
