The exam session of the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year has started at Sumgayit State University on January 7.

According to the order signed by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Emin Amrullayev, on the organization and holding of the examination session of the autumn semester of the academic year 2023-2024 in higher and secondary educational institutions, the exam session of the autumn semester of the academic year 2023-2024 will be held from December 29. And will continue. In the order, transparency and objectivity in the assessment of students" knowledge, conducting the examination session based on existing normative documents, establishing examination headquarters in educational institutions, promptly investigating every complaint received in these headquarters and taking necessary measures were reflected in the order. Rector of SSU Rufat Azizov signed the relevant order regarding the implementation of this order. According to the order, the Examination Headquarters and the Appeals Commission were organized in order to provide operational control over the course of the exams and transparency in the assessment of students" knowledge. The headquarters will be chaired by associate professor Elshad Abdullayev, vice-rector for Science and Innovations, and the commission will be chaired by Rector's advisor, doctor of philosophy in pedagogy, associate professor Konul Abasli.

Exams in SSU will be held in 2 shifts. In order to conduct the exams transparently and objectively, within the framework of the law, specific tasks have been set before the faculty deans and department heads. Students" appeals to the Examination Headquarters and the Appeals Commission will be investigated flexibly, fairly and comprehensively. In addition to examining teachers, teachers teaching the subject will also be involved in the examination of applications, which ensures the objectivity of the assessment. Also, during the session, necessary conditions were created in the scientific library of the university to provide students with textbooks and study materials. In addition to all this, the rector of the university, Rufat Azizov, personally observes the examination process and is interested in the attitude of the students to the course of the examinations.

It should be noted that the exams will end on February 1.
