A solemn Novruz event was held at SSU
On March 15, a Novruz celebration was held in the courtyard of the main educational building of Sumgait State University with the participation of faculty members, employees and students, as well as guests from SSU's cooperating institutions.
Speaking about the ancient traditions of the Novruz holiday and its unique features, the presenters noted that our people have been celebrating their dear holiday with great enthusiasm for the 4th year.
Rector Rufat Azizov congratulated everyone who participated in the event on the upcoming Novruz holiday and conveyed his good wishes. He noted that the holidays and traditions of each nation are in harmony with the values of that nation. He emphasized that this holiday, which is celebrated with love by our people, brings our traditions alive for centuries and brings us to these days, and calls for solidarity by uniting us as a nation.
Then there was a holiday bonfire. The festive event, which continued with the concert program, continued with the participation of Novruz personages, performances by guest singers and our talented students, and colorful dances by the ‘Sema’ dance group of the university.
