The founder of Azerbaijani drama, a great thinker, educator, social activist-realistic views of MirzaFataliAkhundovhas  an exceptional contribution to the further development of Azerbaijani literature. Appreciating literature’s role in people’s  enlightenment M.F. Akhundov  wrote the first dramasd. His six comediescombined  under the name of “Tamsilat” are still enjoyed  by our people.
On December 25,"Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastalishakh"  wasstaged by the director of "Renaissance" Students Youth Theatre, the producer of the performance Vagif Ibrahim and student actors in our University.
In M.F. Akhundov’s satirical-critical work  "Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastalishakh"   ignorance was criticized in a humorous manner. As a result, Darvish blew up Paris.  As in the book,inertia and backwardness prevailing in the nineteenth century’s feudal Azerbaijan are exposed, the  young are invited to acquire knowledge. Social sciences, including natural science are promoted.
In the performance of  "Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastalishakh"  by M.F. Akhundzadehnational coloring, the performance of professional actors and musical registration of ZaurSafarov was greeted with great applause by the audience.
The  rectorof the university ElkhanHuseynovspoke about high performance organization.
The Rector  congratulated the actorstudents  and wished them new success. He  awarded each of the with  100 manat.
