The White Fog" event was organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Sumgait State University in order to further strengthen the propaganda work and implement educational measures related to the fight against drug addiction, which is one of the most serious and painful problems of humanity. The event was opened by the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, associate professor Rashad Salimov, who spoke about the importance of such educational events. He said that consequences of drug addiction are measured not only by the material and moral damage caused to countries, but also by the destruction of millions of people. In addition to the fight against drug addiction and its prevention being an important issue, the formation of young people is one of the most important factors in their healthy growth. Currently, the fight against drug addiction is one of the global challenges around the world, and in such a situation, there is a great need for educational work. In this direction, a number of laws and State Programs are successfully implemented in our country. Major Emil Guliyev, an employee of the Chief Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Lieutenant Colonel Ramin Akbarov, an employee of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, spoke and informed about drug addiction and its consequences, the tragedies it brings. They talked about the measures taken to strengthen the fight against drug addiction, prevent the illegal circulation of drugs and the spread of drug addiction, protect the young generation from drug addiction and other harmful habits, and advised young people to choose a healthy lifestyle. Then a video about the use of drugs and its consequences was shown, and a poem about "White Death" was performed by student Gulen Amiraslanova. At the event, psychologist Nazrin Ismayilova, associate professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of SSU Zarbab Aghayeva and students Roya Alizadeh and Narmin Hasanli spoke and said that all members of the society should fight against harmful habits and educational activities should be regular among young people. Later, in the students" presentation, a scene was shown about the fight against drug addiction and its consequences. In the end, the questions of people were answered, and a discussion was held on the topic.
