Climate changes and food safety: The role of international cooperation in the use of innovative technologies" was held within the "Career Week".Vice-Rector for International relations of Sumgait State University associate professor Konul Abasli opened the seminar and said that the seminar was dedicated to the current issue.Kristina Toderik, professor of the Institute of Bioresources of Japan"s Mie University, regional coordinator of ICBA (International Center for the Development of Agriculture in Saline Soils) made a speech "Monitoring and controlling of the effect of water resource use efficiency and soil salinization on food security in the dry areas of the Aral-Caspian region and climate-resistant technologies" as well as climate change and environmental problems, their causes, consequences and solutions.Academician Valida Alizadeh, the leading expert on the evaluation of the Europe and Central Asia region of IPBES- the intergovernmental scientific policy platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services, spoke highly of the organization of such a seminar on the eve of COP29 and emphasized the impact of climate change on agriculture and food production, as well as the use of modern innovative technologies. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation to ensure food safety.At the end, the participants" questions were answered and the seminar continued with discussions.
