The 5th and 6th grade students studying on the IB MYP program at the Khazar University Sumgait ‘Dunya’ School participated in at the "Career Week" held at Sumgait State University on October 24. Students presented their projects at the exhibition with two different stands.The first stand consisted of information about the IB program and its different stages – PYP, MYP and DP programmes. Through this stand, guests were informed about the importance of international education and the developmental aspects of these programs.The second stand drew attention with the Eco-city model prepared on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Sumgait city. This model was a project developed by 5th grade students of Khazar University Sumgait ‘Dunya’ School by researching and analyzing alternative energy sources such as water, wind and solar energy. Through the project, students showed the importance of renewable energy sources, how important they are for the future development of cities. This model has attracted great interest by promoting ecological and sustainable approaches in line with the city"s development prospects.This exhibition, based on the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals, was an invaluable experience for Khazar University Sumgait ‘Dunya’ School students to demonstrate both their creative and analytical skills, and to share their thoughts on sustainable development and career choice.
