On December 25, a meeting was held with a well-known detective writer in modern Azerbaijani literature, Elbrus Kalbiyev, at Sumgayit State University, organized by the Center of Excellence and initiated by the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations of the Faculty of Mathematics. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Director of the Center for Excellence, Ali Rzayev, spoke about the contributions of such meetings to the enlightenment of the younger generation and spoke about the creativity of Elbrus Kalbiyev. He noted that the importance of Elbrus Kalbiyev"s works is not only in the detective genre, but also his works cover the themes of national values, statehood and patriotism. The dean of the Faculty of Mathematics of the university, associate professor Khalida Hasanova, director of the Teaching Methodological Center, associate professor Osman Hajiyev, head of the department, associate professor Khayala Seyfullayeva, and associate professors of the faculty Ilgar Safarli, Mammadali Mammadov and other employees shared their impressions of the writer"s works. At the end of the event, the author signed his books and gave them to the participants.
