On April 18, an educational seminar entitled ‘Bullying as a socio-psychological problem’ was held at Sumgayit city secondary school No. 12, jointly organized by the Faculty of Philology of Sumgayit State University and the Psychological Service Center. Zabita Isayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the university, spoke at the seminar and talked about the psychological consequences caused by factors that prevent the formation of a healthy socio-emotional environment in schools, violence among students and its types. She noted that combating this problem is not only the job of psychologists. All teachers, school administration, as well as parents should work together on this issue. Then, students of group 939 of the Faculty of Philology made a presentation on the topic and explained the socio-psychological effects of bullying in more detail. The students educated the participants with materials covering what bullying is, its different forms, and various strategies used to prevent it.
