The next meeting of the Academic Council of Sumgayit State University (SSU) was held on February 19. Acting Rector Professor Aminaga Sadigov greeted the members of the Academic Council and touched upon important points for the future development of the university. He noted that Sumgayit State University was granted the status of a public legal entity by the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This significant change requires us to organize the activities of the university more efficiently and responsibly. Therefore, all issues brought to the Academic Council should be discussed collegially and a decision should be made. Aminaga Sadigov also stated that one of the main priorities of the future development of SSU is the training of highly qualified specialists, and noted the importance of making serious efforts in this direction. Then, the issues on the agenda were brought to attention and approved. The results of the examination session of the fall semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the Methodological Manual on the Rules for the Organization, Conduct and Evaluation of Practice (Pedagogical) in the Specialty, the recognition of credits of students admitted to SSU from the sub-bachelor level, information on the implementation of the Pilot Project on the Production-oriented Organization of Education in the Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) were discussed in the meeting. Relevant decisions were made on the issues discussed by taking into account the proposals and recommendations of the Council members. The approval of the new Regulations of the Teaching Methodological Center in connection with the structural change and the granting of the right to publish (print) educational materials were discussed and approved in the meeting.
