On March 6, a round table was held on the topic of “Our Economy” organized by the “Young Economists” and “International Student” clubs of the Center of Excellence at Sumgayit State University within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”, with the participation of young economists from the Faculty of Economics and Management. Students from Turkiye, Pakistan, Georgia and Iran participated in the event, that was held in English. The event began with the opening speech of Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of the university, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov. Emphasizing the importance of the economy of each state, he spoke about the successes achieved in the economic development of Azerbaijan and its international relations. He advised young economists to work to serve the development of our state and statehood. Then, foreign students made presentations on the economic development, current situation and future development prospects of their countries. They discussed the main aspects of economies of their countries and possible prospects for expanding economic relations with Azerbaijan. At the end of the event, the participants shared their views on the development of the Azerbaijani economy and the economic goals of the coming period. The event provided an opportunity to promote international cooperation among students and discuss economic development models of different countries, providing young economists with a broad perspective. At the end, certificates were presented to the participants by the Center of Excellence.
