“The Place of Women in the Turkic World: Scientific-Practical Teleconference within the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”
A scientific-practical teleconference on the topic of “The Place of Women in the Turkic World” dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” and March 8 - International Women"s Day was held on March 5, organized by the Department of History, Geography and Methodology of the Faculty of History and Geography at Sumgayit State University, Aydin Adnan Menderes University, Humanities and Social Sciences, Ataturk Principles and Revolutionary History Research and Application Center. Opening the event with an introductory speech, Dean of the Faculty of History and Geography, Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev stated that the Turkic world is distinguished by its deep historical roots and rich culture, and that women have always played an important role as the cornerstone of both the family and society. Head of the Department of History, Geography and Methodology, Associate Professor Sona Maharramova, delivered a speech on “Women"s Rights and Gender Equality in Azerbaijan”, Aydin Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History, Teaching Member, Head of the Center of Research and Application of Ataturk"s Principles and the History of the Revolution, Dr. Ayten Can, “Women"s Rights in the Turkic World”, Associate Professor of the Department of History, Geography and Methodology, Samir Karimli, delivered a speech on “The Activities of Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice-President, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation - as an Example for Azerbaijani Women”, emphasizing Mehriban Aliyeva"s contributions to the development of Azerbaijan, her charitable activities and her inspiring role in the field of women"s leadership. At the end of the scientific-practical teleconference, extensive discussions were held on the topic.
