The relations between religion and state are regulated by legislation
To struggle against the religious radicalism-terrorism and extremism is one of the priorities of modern Azerbaijan. An event, has been held in SSU, were attended by the representatives of DTX, (State Security Department), Executive Power of Sumgait, DQIDK (State Committee on Affairs of Religious Unions), the professor lecturer personnel and students as well. Making and opening speech the vise rector on humanitarian issues assos. professor Mr. Nizami Namazov has namely pointed out the significance of enlightenment against radicalism as one of the big problems of mankind and widely spoke about the efficient fighting methods to prevent religious radicalism, its results and the damages to be affected on society. The speaker noted that since the second return into power of the great leader Mr. Haydar Aliyev the attitude towards religion has totally changed, and the national-spiritual values, religion has owned the special care and respect. Currently, that policy is kept by the president Mr. Ilham Aliyev. 
The dean of the faculty of History and Geography, the professor Mr. Adil Baxshialiyev shares on the religion situation of the country, the activity of religious communities, the state care to religion and tolerance policy he noted that the relations between religion and state are regulated by the legislation. The speaker pointed out that a big burden is carried by students’ in order to preserve of our national spiritual values, to propagate the patriotism and he recommended to the students to avoid the participation in the untraditional religious sects. The chief of DTX of Sumgait widely spoke about the creation of radical religious sects, their propagation methods and the ways to prevent such kind of activities. 
The representative of Executive Power of Sumgait Mr. Farman Kazimov widely spoke about the humanitarian organizations arrived in our country in the early of our independence, the results of religious propagation of those organizations and the people by harmful ideology that damage the state and religion relations. He shared on conflicts emerged by national and religion reasons and the religious threat against our country. 
The representative of DQIDK of Sumgait branch Mr. Ulvi Mammadov shared on the state and religion relations and widely explained about the role of the people and their belief in successful arrangement of those relations from the point of historical philosophical view. 
By the end of the event the questions by the audience have been met.
