Organization of grant competitions stimulates researchers’ and scientists’ activities, serves to improvement of performance of high schools and supports scientific technical potential. Sumgayit State University also tries to contribute to development of science as a high school of the republic. On June 8, Science Development Foundation (SDF) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the results of “Science-Education Integration” grant competition. Grant projects were received to the competition last year from January 5 to 28. During that period 138 projects were introduced to the competition from Azerbaijan. Technical expertise of the projects is arranged and 133 projects passed to the stage of scientific expertise. According to the results of the competition, in the framework of “Science-Education Integration” grant competition 69 fundamental-applied projects and 2 special winner projects have been identified. Finance of the projects changes between 25-29 thousand manats.
It should be noted that three projects were winners from Sumgayit State University: 1. “The role of innovative technologies transfer in preparation of multi-skilled professionals in high educational institutions” by head of the department of Process automatization Professor Javanshir Mammadov; 2. “Development of optimal control methods in the conditions of harmonic and impulsive management effects of nonlinear dynamic objects” (in the example of oil refining processes) by Professor of the department of Process automatization Ali Naghiyev; 3. “Exodynamic processes and processes happening interior of the ground in soil changed as a result of human economic activity, models of normalization in terms of ecology and soil quality management models” (Jeyranchol example) by docents of the department of Geography and its teaching methods Ismayil Guliyev and Ilham Mardanov.
The first winner project got 60000 manats, the second and the third 60000 and 50000 manats respectively. The projects will be implemented by various institutes and scientific-research centers of ANAS.
