RAMIZ HUSEYNOV: AZERBAIJAN SHOWED A HUMANE POSITION DURING THE PATRIOTIC WAR AGAINST ARMENIAN VANDALISM
"Our army, under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, has successfully completed a 44-day counter-offensive. What gave a moral meaning to the Great Patriotic War, which ended with our great victory, was the military liberation of our lands, which have been under occupation for almost 30 years, especially the city of Shusha, which is of moral and strategic importance. For the first time in its 200-year history, Azerbaijan emerged from the war by restoring its territorial integrity. The historic victory of the victorious Azerbaijani army is of special importance for the interests of the state and the people. The liberation of our lands, which have been under enemy occupation for many years, first of all restored the self-confidence of the Azerbaijani people, strengthened the people"s confidence in their leader and his strength. "

These ideas expressed by Ramiz Huseynov, a member of the board of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and chairman of the Sumgayit branch of the YAP, to “Iki Sahil”.

R.Huseynov noted that this pride was given to us by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the brave Azerbaijani Army: “In this so-called war of freedom of the XXI century, our glorious army demonstrated the strength of the Azerbaijani people and its leader to the world. Our people, who have been patiently and discreetly waiting for the Armenian vandals to vacate our lands peacefully for almost 30 years, have finally won thanks to the determination of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The victory of the brave Azerbaijani Army in the battles forced Armenia to sit at the table on November 10. Finally, the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia signed a joint statement. The 44-day war and the liberation of Azerbaijan"s historical lands, which have been under enemy occupation for almost 30 years, are characterized by a new reality in the region. One of the manifestations of this reality is the observance of a permanent ceasefire in the sensitive post-war situation and the establishment of cooperation on post-conflict development."

A member of the YAP Board stressed that on April 13, President Ilham Aliyev addressed the international conference "A New Look at the South Caucasus: Post-Conflict Development and Cooperation" at ADA University, which has extensive international relations: “While we do not forget the Khojaly genocide and the memory of innocent victims committed by Armenia and the leadership of the so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh regime", we look to the future, even if the conflict is over and the war is a thing of the past”. "Matthew Bryza, a senior fellow at the US Atlantic Council and an international expert, made a small statement before the question and said that Azerbaijan, along with innovation, technology and tactics, won a decisive victory as a result of unparalleled courage, minimal damage to Armenia"s civilian infrastructure and civilian casualties. Calling the cessation of the military phase of the war after the Victory in Shusha a strategic vision showed once again that the Azerbaijani state and its leader showed such a humane position during the Patriotic War, which ensured the freedom of our lands despite the cruelty of the Armenian bloodthirsty people, and this position was also accepted by the world community.”
R.Huseynov said that the number of questions asked by the participants of the conference, consisting of foreign guests, to President Ilham Aliyev, who conveyed the realities of the region to the world"s attention for 3 hours and addressed important messages to Armenia and international actors, was an indication of great attention to the event. The President"s decisive and open statement of Azerbaijan"s point of view made our country"s position in the post-war period clear. In his speech, the President brought to the attention of international experts the steps taken by Armenia before, during and after the war, the current obstacles to the strengthening of peace and the challenges facing the region.
