Noting with confidence that Western Azerbaijanis will return to their historical lands and live there, Ilham Aliyev draws attention to the realities of today"s Azerbaijan, which is actually living the strongest period of its history, that is, it has a powerful army, a strong economy, an important position in the international arena, an independent foreign policy and a winning country.

In his speech president Ilham Aliyev reminded that Armenian vandals destroyed all our historical and religious monuments in Western Azerbaijan as well as in all regions of Azerbaijan, that they wanted to erase the historical heritage of Azerbaijanis and that they could not achieve this by emphasizing historical factors, that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, notes that the toponyms are of Azerbaijani origin, that the Azerbaijani people have lived throughout history in the territory of present-day Armenia, the importance of the world community knowing all this, and that the Community will conduct these works in a more purposeful and result-oriented manner.

In the speech of Ilham Aliyev, who sees the interests of the state of Azerbaijan and the people of Azerbaijan as the highest goal in his policy mobilizes all his strength in this direction, he said that our people have defended their rights for centuries and made great sacrifices to live in their historical lands, but despite all this, our people were expelled from their native lands in different historical periods that the 20th century was a tragic period for our people from this point of view, that in one of the first decisions of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Yerevan - our historical city  was handed   to Armenia, which it considers an unforgivable step, betrayal and crime that we all know it well, our people should know it too. We must never distort our history. Ilham Aliyev stated as a message to historians: "our history should be written as it is."

He has repeatedly expressed his views on the establishment and short-term activity of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, pointed out that he highly appreciates the activities of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic- the first republic in the Muslim world and said that: "besides this, we must not forget the black pages of our history."

Analyzing the events as a head of state, diplomat and historian, Ilham Aliyev advises not to present historical truths in a distorted form by saying that "the dark pages of our history should not be covered up" and states that "all these tragic events should be a lesson for all of us."

After Yerevan was handed over to Armenians in 1920, following the decision of the Soviet government and the insistence of Armenian nationalists, Ilham Aliyev pointed out that the process of annexing Zangezur, our other historical land to Armenia was carried out very easily. Proving with solid evidence that the Armenians skilfully used a wrong step taken during the republic period , made new claims against Azerbaijan with the help of their supporters represented in high positions in the Soviet government. President Ilham Aliyev stated that the handing over of Zangezur to Armenia after Yerevan was an unacceptable fact.

Ilham Aliyev consistently pays attention to the chronology of the crimes committed by the Armenians and the Soviet government against the Azerbaijani people from a historian"s point of view, considers the further deportation of our people in 1948-1953 as the next crime committed by the Soviet government against the West Azerbaijanis and the Azerbaijani people as a whole.

Analyzing the events objectively, Ilham Aliyev showed that the deportation of 1948-1953 was injustice against the people of Azerbaijan.

In his speech, Ilham Aliyev highlighted the fact that in the late 1980s, the Soviet government started another criminal process against our people, and stated that two weeks after Heydar Aliyev was removed from all his positions in November 1987.

The Soviet government supported them and another crime was committed against our people both in Karabakh and in the former Republic of Armenia.

Ilham Aliyev pointed out that in the late 1980s, Azerbaijanis living in more than 300 cities and villages of the former Armenia were forcibly evicted from their historical lands, many of them were killed and tortured. In August 1991, the last Azerbaijani village Nuvedi was also deported. that: "as if this had gone astray, crimes were committed against our people in Karabakh as well".

Then, focusing on the 44-Day War of Victory, Ilham Aliyev spoke about the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the construction works in the liberated territories, conveying the atrocities committed by the Armenians on the territory of Azerbaijan as a message to the world community and stating that: "Armenians committed these atrocities in Western Azerbaijan as well. However, the world community does not see this, or does not want to see it. Just as the Armenian atrocities in Karabakh were actually not approved by anyone" Ilham Aliyev, who brought to the attention of the Community the importance of informing the world community about the destruction caused by the Armenians in Western Azerbaijan, confidently states that: "The Western Azerbaijani Community will achieve this with the support of the Azerbaijan state."

Presenting the large-scale construction measures in our liberated lands as an indicator of the will of our people, Ilham Aliyev points out that he sees the historical memory of our people in the example of the village of Agali and, justifying his opinion, notes that: "children and young people who have never seen there have returned there." Ilham Aliyev later in 2022 He draws attention to many important events, including the forced military operations on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border, the results of these operations, and states that: "today we are already on the shores of Bala Goycha"

Continuing his speech, Ilham Aliyev confidently noted that the September clashes will insure us against major problems in the future. Because in Armenia, both in the government and in the opposition, revanchist forces are actually emerging.

Marking the Liberation of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur on the battlefield as an important historical event, Ilham Aliyev said: "Our achieved military and political successes lay the foundation for the future. All this was a lesson for return, security, and for those who do not accept Azerbaijan as a strong state, and it once again showed that no one and nothing can stop us. "Today"s events on Lachin corridor caused another anti-Azerbaijani hysteria."

Later, Ilham Aliyev noted that: "in parallel with the work to be done, I think that we should also work on the concept of return to Western Azerbaijan. After the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, this is the issue on our agenda. But this concept should always be a peaceful Concept. We must take the provisions acceptable to us in all international conventions and claim our rights based on them.

At the end of the speech, Ilham Aliyev put a number of obligations to the community and stated that: "The community should pay attention to these issues both within its capabilities and with the support of the state of Azerbaijan. I am sure that we will achieve it".
